Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data we collect through simonellson.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what your rights are. We have tried to keep it short and in plain English.

1. Who we are

This website is run by Simon Ellson, trading as ActionCOACH Dorset. The business is operated by Intrapreneur Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 08667605). For this website, Intrapreneur Ltd is the "data controller", which means we decide how your personal data is used and we are responsible for it.

ActionCOACH Dorset is an independently owned business coaching franchise. We do not share personal data collected through this website, or our client data, with ActionCOACH head office (the franchisor).

We are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer. Simon is responsible for data protection questions. Please use the contact details above.

2. What we collect and why

Contact form

If you send us a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the subject you choose and your message. We use this to reply to you and, if you ask, to arrange a conversation about coaching.

Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in answering enquiries, or steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract.

Team Health Check

When you complete the Team Health Check, we collect your name, email address, company name, team size, your answers and your scores. You can choose to tick a box agreeing that we can keep your details and score and contact you about your results. We use this information to show your results, send you your report and follow up with you about them.

Lawful basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will delete your details. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Discovery Calls and podcast guest bookings

You can book a Discovery Call, or a slot as a guest on the podcast, through a Google Calendar booking page. Google asks for your name and email address, and may ask for other details you choose to add (such as a phone number or notes). The booking creates a calendar invitation and usually a Google Meet link.

Lawful basis: steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract (Discovery Calls) and our legitimate interests in arranging the podcast (guest bookings).

Podcast guests

If you appear as a guest on the podcast, the published episode will include your name, your business and your voice (and video, if recorded). Episodes are published on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube and may be shared on social media. We will agree this with you before recording.

Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in producing and publishing the podcast, on the terms we agree with you before recording.

Email and phone correspondence

If you email or phone us, we keep your contact details and what you tell us so that we can respond and keep a record of our conversation.

Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running our business and responding to you.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the website: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive and roughly where they are (country or city level). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers, and we do not use it to identify you personally. We also record when someone completes or views the Team Health Check report, so we can see whether it is useful.

Google Analytics currently sets analytics cookies when you visit the site. We are introducing a cookie consent tool so that analytics cookies are only set once you agree. Until it is in place, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings (see section 3).

Videos and podcast players

Some pages include YouTube videos and Spotify or Apple Podcasts players.

When you play content, the provider (Google/YouTube, Spotify or Apple) receives your IP address and device information and applies its own privacy policy.

DISC profile

The DISC profile is our own service. Intrapreneur Ltd, trading as ActionCOACH Dorset, is the controller of the information you give when you take it. The assessment is delivered for us by Assessments 24x7 at actionprofile.me, which acts as our processor. It collects your name, email address and your answers to the assessment questions, and produces your profile. We use this information to provide your profile and talk through the results with you.

If you start the DISC profile from our website, our form asks for your name, work email and business name, and lets you choose to receive tips on using your results and occasional ActionCOACH Dorset updates. We only send these if you tick the box, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

If you choose to pay for a full report or session, the payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe also applies its own privacy policy.

Lawful basis: steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interests in responding to your request. For paid upgrades, performance of our contract with you. For tips and updates, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not run a general newsletter from this website. We only send follow-up emails about your Team Health Check results, or tips on using your DISC results and occasional updates, if you agree to them.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
